Nationwide has restructured its broker support teams into a regional model.
The change affects the 50 BDMs and 40 business development advisers who work across the Nationwide and Mortgage Work brands.
Support staff will deal with enquiries either by a broker chat service or telephone,and now only deal with regions specific to them.
Nationwide says that it has reorganised in this way to provide consistency and take advantage of support staff with special geographical knowledge, such as the mortgage processes seen in Scotland.
Nationwide head of intermediary support and new build Andy Dean comments: “We are focussing on offering teams of dedicated experts to support intermediaries’ pre-submission queries.
“[This] also allows for faster response times, more time for quality discussions, supporting ‘right first time’ packaging and gives brokers a level of confidence that there are multiple layers of support.”
