Mortgage Mole: March 2019 – Mortgage Strategy

Intrepid Mole, digging up the stories behind the news

Sing a Song of Sixpence (saved on heating bills)

Over Christmas we had the Mortgage Industry Collective release a charity single, next it was the turn of mortgage broker Sarah Tucker to show what her lungs are made of and now daytime TV staple Martin Lewis seems keen to get crooning. Recently he revealed that he will be taking a turn on TV show All Star Musicals where he will warble a show tune for the pleasure of a host of judges.

However, having revealed that he does not actually listen to music, Mole suspects that he may find himself switching TV channels as quickly as Lewis devotees do their energy providers.

A solid foundation

Mole claps his paws at the Openwork Foundation’s good works over 2018, which raised over half a million, taking the total amount gathered since 2005 to £7.4m.

Going to 46 different charities, the money will help 7,400 vulnerable people around the world. Foundation manager Sam Tesch is not sated though. She comments: “We are looking forward to raising even more money this year with some exciting events lined up. I’d like to take this opportunity to personally thank everyone for their continued support.”

Mortgage broker to team up with Musk?

Browsing his Twitter timeline, Mole was amazed to see that one broker’s plans for expansion can only be galactic in scope. At least, the map so proudly posted does not appear to correlate with any landmass Mole has ever seen on an Earth atlas before.
