Dudley appoints machine learning expert as non-exec director

Dudley Building Society has appointed machine learning expert Tariq Khatri (pictured) to its non-executive team.

Khatri previously has held positions at Ernst & Young, Dimond Consultants, and Mitchell Madison Group. He is currently the director of machine learning solutions consultancy Machinable.

He has experience in mobile telecoms, payments, digital advisory functions, and analytical domains such as quantitative risk management in banking.

Dudley Building Society chairman David Milner comments: “We were thrilled when Khatri agreed to join the society.

“We have worked hard in recent years to modernise all areas of the business. I am a big believer that our sector needs to embrace advances in technology to provide enhanced customer experiences, which is something that requires a depth of understanding at all levels of the organisation.”

Tariq says: “I’m really pleased to be joining Dudley Building Society.

“I am hoping my broad experience in the financial services sector, along with my more recent focus on machine learning and analytics, will be of real benefit to the society.”
